The City of Cairo Building Department employs the Building Official and Building Inspector.
This Department issues the following Building Permits:
- Building
- Plumbing
- Heating and Air
- Electric
- Gas
The Department enforces an Ordinance entitled “Unfit Buildings or Structure, Abandoned/Junk Vehicles, Unsafe and Unsanitary Conditions” of Chapter 12 entitled “Health and Sanitation” of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Cairo, Georgia. The City of Cairo has an aggressive nuisance abatement program.
