PUBLIC NOTICE
OF UPCOMING PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED FY 2025-2026 BUDGET
The City of Cairo Mayor and Council will conduct a Public Hearing on Tuesday, May 27, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. to receive citizen input on the proposed fiscal year 2025-2026 budget. The meeting will be held in the Auditorium at Roddenbery Memorial Library located at 320 N. Broad Street, Cairo, GA 39828.
A draft copy of the proposed budget will be available for review beginning on May 14, 2024, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, at the office of the city manager at City Hall located at 119 North Broad Street.
At the regular meeting on Monday, June 9, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., the City of Cairo Mayor and Council will approve the final fiscal year 2025-2026 budget and consider introduction of the ordinance; with final adoption of the ordinance at a Special Called Council Meeting on June 26, 2025, at 6:00 pm. This public meeting will be held in the council chambers at 101-B North Broad Street.
